Sailing was the one thing that really set the hook for me on maritime activities! This was a complete new and different world from what I had experienced before. There was some much more to learn compared to power boating. Cruising or living aboard on a sailing vessel offered a very desirable life style to me that I took advantage of all the while learning more and more about the sea and vessels in general.
I admit that at this stage in my life I have limited my sailing adventures to warmer climates, unless the vessel is of a comfortable size with a tough, low profile wheelhouse.
